Stocking Stuffer Gift Guide 2013

Christmas Stocking Stuffer Gift Guide 2013

The Christmas shopping season is well on its' way! Stocking stuffers are truly my favorite part of Christmas gift giving. Gifts themselves usually comprise one or two nice things, but with stockings you have the chance to be creative and find so many little treasures. More is more; smaller is cuter!

Anthropologie Kebaya Mug

A pretty tea or coffee mug makes a perfect unexpected gift, especially if it's not holiday-themed, that way it can be enjoyed year-round. Bonus points for including a special package of tea or coffee! This one is available at Anthropologie, along with a large selection of other beautiful mugs and tea cups for $12.

Fresh Sugar Rose Lip Treatment

By now we're all aware of the (much deserved) cult following the Fresh Sugar lip treatments have. The hydration makes it practical and the sheer wash of rose-y color adds life to dreary winter complexions. The Rose shade is my personal favorite and one that I believe is universally flattering. Available at Sephora for $26 CDN.

Voluspa Mini Travel Candle Trio: Goji Tarocco Orange, Eden & Pear, Santiago Huckleberry

I must admit I am a huge sucker for candles and the Voluspa's do not disappoint. This trio includes Goji Tarocco Orange, Eden & Pear and Santiago Huckleberry (I may have swapped out a scent I didn't like for the Eden & Pear...) There are a couple really nice things about this set. Firstly, the scents themselves are very sophisticated and unique. Their size is the other thing I thought was great. You could give this set as a gift itself, or separate them and have something for three stockings. I purchased this set for $24 CDN at Indigo Bookstores, however they are currently on sale and I've also seen them for about $10 less online, making them even more affordable.

The New Black Subculture Contemporary Neons in Miami Vice Nail Polish

Nail polish always makes a great gift in my books and this tiny set from The New Black is perfect for stockings. The Subculture Contemporary Neons in Miami Vice set includes a suit-everyone-pink and a pretty gold for accents. Available for $10 US at Ulta.

Revlon by Marchesa Nail Wraps in Royal Burgundy

Nail wraps are another great gift idea. These Revlon by Marchesa appliques in Royal Burgundy are perfect for the holiday season. A nice thing about these is that they look really beautiful and ornate on the nails but require minimal effort. They can be purchased for around $10 in drugstores.

BCBG MaxAzria and Victoria's Secret Angel Perfume Mini's

Not only do mini perfumes make a great stocking stuffer, but they are a great way to capitalize on all the perfume sets and samples that come out around Christmas time. Whether you purchase them on their own or just give away the travel-sized version from a set you bought for yourself, they're super affordable. These are two of my personal favorites, both light and feminine. The first is the original BCBG Max Azria which is more floral that came in a larger set I purchased. The second is Angel by Victoria's Secret which is a little warmer and more sensual. Victoria's Secret always has almost all their scents available in these little sizes in displays right by the cash register, which can be purchased in the $5-10 range.

Macadamia Healing Oil Treatment

Macadamia has become my absolute favorite brand of hair oil. I use both the oil and the hair mask (which I highly recommend) and this travel size is perfect for stockings. It can be used on all hair types and works to condition and smooth hair. The 1 oz. size is around $14 and can be purchased at salons or Ulta.

Trader Joe's Coconut Body Butter

Forget the lotions and creams and go with a more luxurious body butter. This coconut one from Trader Joe's smells amazing, moisturizes really well and is only $5!

Lastly, I wanted to mention that a great resource for little stocking stuffer gifts is Sephora. Of course they sell tons of great beauty products in small sizes, but if you order online they always have promotions for free little bags of deluxe-size samples which can easily be split up into stockings.

Happy Holidays!
