My 13 Must-Have Products of 2013

Best Products of 2013: Make Up For Ever 5 Camouflage Cream Palette in No. 1, Deborah Lippmann Laughin' to the Bank, Nails Inc. Gel Effect Polish in Kensington High Street

1 - Make Up For Ever's 5 Camouflage Cream Palette in No. 1 was a great find for me this year. It covers beautifully and the range of shades means it will suit your skin throughout the changing seasons.

Nail polish is always big for me, but this year these two were clear stand outs. Deborah Lippmann's Laughin' to the Bank (2) and Nails Inc Gel Effect Polish in Kensington High Street (3) are both beautiful colors that graced my nails multiple times in 2013. (Side note: the Gel Effect polishes will be available in more colors for spring!)

Best Products of 2013: Sumbody Zit Zapper, Nars Satin Lip Pencil in Palais Royal, NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk, Amore Pacific Moisture Bound Lip Treatment

The Zit Zapper by Sumbody (4) was my absolute favorite product discovery of 2013. This blend of witch hazel, apple cider and other herbs and essential oils is anti-bacterial and heals while it clears any spots you have. It is an excellent alternative to the harsher benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid treatments.

Fall and Winter wouldn't be complete without a dark lip and the Nars Satin Lip Pencil in Palais Royal (5) glides on beautifully while depositing rich color.

I fell in love with NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk (6) early in 2013 and it has become a near-daily staple for me. I blend it out on my brow bone and inner corners for a pretty, subtle highlight.

The Moisture Bound Lip Treatment by Amore Pacific (7) has been my go-to lip product, both for its amazing hydrating properties and super glossy finish.

Best Products of 2013: Tree Hut Almond & Honey Body Butter, Dermalogica Dermal Clay Cleanser, Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion in Original

I have been a little body butter obsessed lately and this Almond & Honey (8) scent has become a quick favorite.

The Dermal Clay Cleanser by Dermalogica (9) has been my second-favorite product discovery of last year. I was in a cleanser rut and had been using the one by Proactiv since I started highschool. I never really had a problem with my skin, but used it "just in case." However, after years of using such a harsh and drying product, my skin had developed problems. I've slowly weaned myself off the Proactiv cleanser and onto this non-foaming clay-based one and have seen great improvement in the health of my skin. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is prone to an oily t-zone.

The original Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion (10) has made a comeback in my beauty routine. I do wear it under eyeshadow as a primer too, but more often than not I wear it just on its own in lieu of any shadow. It evens out your eyelids and has just the faintest amount of color, which I love.

Best Products of 2013: Macadamia Deep Repair Hair Masque, Macadamia Healing Oil Treatment, Sephora Collection Tinted Self-Tanning Body Mist

Having super long hair means you have to take, well, super good care of it. The Deep Repair Masque (11) and Healing Oil Treatment (12) by Macadamia have pretty much become my holy grails. I use the oil on its' own before and after I straighten it or whenever my ends could use a little shine. I also mix the oil in with the hair mask for an even deeper conditioning treatment (I use this combo every time I wash my hair as my normal conditioner). These seem to keep my hair happy and they smell amazing.

Finally, the Sephora brand Tinted Self-Tanning Body Mist (13) has been my go-to whenever I want a nice tan (usually for a night out). I usually do a "double-dip": I apply one coat two nights before I'm going out, and then another coat the night before I go out (and then shower in the morning) and this provides a nice, even, deep tan.
